History:
Suriname was first discovered in 2000 b.c. when American Indians created agriculture, pottery, and weaving. In the 1620s Suriname became a Dutch colony, owned by Holland. Despite Dutch rule in the 1630s, English and French colonies developed in the country. In 1665 through 1674, Holland and England go to war, and the conflict travels to the New World. In the 1700s, Suriname possessed a ton of slavery. This led to the revolt of a plantation by a black slave named Kwaku.
